
Avanti West Coast is a British Train operation company owned by First Group and Trenitalia. It runs the West Coast Partnership franchise since December 8, 2019. The company replaced Virgin Trains, which has operated the franchise since 1997,
Avanti West Coast provides long-distance passenger services that can reach speeds of up to 200 km/h on the West Coast Main Line between London, the West Midlands, Northwest England, North Wales, and Scotland. It connects six of the largest cities in the UK: London, Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow, and Edinburgh. Each of these cities is connected by Avanti trains with at least one stop within them and is home to a population of over 18 million people.
