Train services run between Aberdeen Station and Nottingham. Nottingham station is placed slightly to the south center of the city between the Nottingham Canal and Queen’s Road and is the main serving station of the city. The total journey time required to travel is 27 hours and 27 minutes for covering a distance of 470 kilometers. Train services to Nottingham are available from major rail providers.

Arriva Trains Wales, First TransPennine Express and Virgin Trains are the service providers between Aberdeen and Nottingham. Train services on this route may include 3 to 4 stops in between the destinations, depending upon the route options one uses. Departure of trains from Aberdeen starts at around 10:29 p.m. in the night and lasts up to 12:29 a.m. The busiest day for this journey is Sunday with second busiest day is Monday and least busy day is Wednesday.

There are two routes options available for train transportation here. The first route is from Aberdeen to Nottingham via Aberystwyth, Wolverhampton, Carlisle and Glasgow Central. Using this route one can reach Nottingham latest by 01:56 a.m. in the morning and lasts up to 08:37 a.m.  Second route one can take is via Aberystwyth, Wolverhampton and Glasgow Central. The only train for this route departs at 04:29 a.m. and reaches Nottingham by 08:44 a.m. in next day. Ticket charges for both of these routes are fixed i.e. £130 only, irrespective of the train departure schedule from Aberdeen.
