Rail Transportation from Liverpool to Glasgow:

Train services run between Liverpool Lime Street to Glasgow Central Station. The total journey time required to travel is 3 hours and 38 minutes for covering a distance of 285 kilometers.  

Northern Rail, First TransPennine Express and Virgin Trains are the service providers between Liverpool and Glasgow. Train services on this route may include 1 to 3 stops in between the destinations, depending upon the route options one uses. Departure of trains from Liverpool starts at around 10:22 a.m. in the morning and lasts up to 03:22 p.m. The busiest day for this journey is Sunday and least busy day is Wednesday. There is a variation in train tickets throughout the day from £18 (Minimum Price) to £104.20 (Maximum Price) with £84.42 (Average Price).

There are three routes options available for train transportation here. The first route is from Liverpool to Glasgow Central via Warrington Central and Warrington Bank Quay. Departure of trains to Liverpool for this connections starts at 10:22 a.m. in the morning.  Second route one can take is via Warrington Central, Warrington Bank Quay and Carlisle. The only train for this route departs at 01:26 p.m. and reaches Glasgow by 05:28 p.m. Last route connection for this is via Manchester Oxford Road as in between station only. The only train for this route departs at 10:22 a.m. from Liverpool. Train ticket charges for these routes are minimum and fixed irrespective of departure timings and are £18 only which you can check at Trainline UK or Rail Easy UK.
