Trains to Edinburgh Waverley from Manchester Piccadilly starts departing at 4:30 a.m. and remain operational till 10:00 p.m. Trains between these two stations are provided by Cross Country, Northern Rail, First TransPennine Express, Virgin Trains and East Coast. Distance between these two stations can be travelled in 3 hours and 7 minutes on an average, but this time increases to 5 hours and 50 minutes for trains departing after 7:00 p.m. whereas sleeper trains take 10 to 12 hours to complete the journey.
 

Maximum number of passengers used these services on Sunday with 18%, whereas this percentage gets reduced to only 11% on Wednesday and Friday.

The price between these two stations remains same (£64.30) most of the time of the day, except some peak hours where it goes to a maximum of £108.
